Omkar Agarwal Endowment

Omkar Agarwal ji is a shining example of entrepreneurship combined with philanthropy and spirituality. He believes in working hard to generate wealth, viewing himself as a trustee for using it for the good of the society.

Omkar ji is a life-member of ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness), and actively sponsors distribution of Bhagwat Geeta. He believes in upliftment of society through education & inculcating right values. Imbued with spirituality, he spends his weekends amongst other devotees, engaged in various programmes, including distribution of prasadam & text books to villagers. He has been closely associated with numerous prestigious social organizations, and has provided sponsorship for educational activities, blood donation camps and free medical treatment as a part of his selfless service to the society.

Omkar ji believes in & lives the precept ‘work is worship’. He regularly attends his office, going through a strict routine, often ending his day with time spent in social work or with the family.

Omkar ji was born in the year 1930 in Amritsar, a district town of Punjab. A bright student, he started his entrepreneurial career soon after graduation.

Sh. Omkar Agarwal came to Kolkata in 1957, from Amritsar, accompanied with his two elder and one younger brothers. With fire in the belly, ambition in the mind & faith in the heart, they embarked on a journey to make their mark on the city’s Fastener Industry. 

As Chairman of Supreme & Co., he was instrumental in spreading the wings of the company, to emerge as a leading Company in Transmission & Distribution Sectors with export of its products to more than 50 countries, covering all Continents of the Globe. His perseverance and continuous attempts turned Supreme & Co. to a multiproducts engineering unit with capability to cater to Global T&D requirements upto 1200kV class.

The organizational infrastructure created by him is directly and indirectly providing employment & sustenance to more than 1100 families, including Supreme’s ancillaries and EPC projects.
